Meet Nicky

For more than 20 years, my career has centred around one thing: helping people think clearly, communicate confidently and connect meaningfully with the world around them.

I started my professional journey in the creative industries, working across design, production and large-scale project management in Australia and Europe. Those environments taught me early that technical expertise is only part of the equation. The success of any project depended on how well people communicated, collaborated and navigated pressure together.

That realisation stayed with me.

As I moved into consulting, facilitation and learning and development, I saw the same pattern across every sector. When human skills were missing, progress stalled, even among incredibly talented people.

  • Leaders had strategy but could not bring people with them

  • Professionals had knowledge but struggled to influence effectively.

  • Teams had potential but lacked psychological safety.

  • Coaches had passion but needed deeper presence and capability.

This became the turning point in my work.

Where my work evolved

When I trained as a professional coach, I discovered how powerful clarity, confidence, curiosity and regulation can be in shaping a person’s thinking and behaviour. Coaching gave me both a framework and a philosophy that transformed the way I understood human growth.

And I saw something important.
Coaching skills are not just for coaches. They are human skills, the foundations that help people lead, communicate, collaborate and live with more ease.

This understanding shaped my approach and eventually became the basis for my signature program, Leadership in the Living Room, a practical and real-world approach to leadership that helps people practise human skills in the everyday moments where leadership actually happens: conversations, decisions, habits and relationships.

My philosophy

I believe people grow best in spaces where they feel safe, curious and connected.
I believe clarity comes from slowing down, reflecting and exploring possibilities.
I believe confidence is built through awareness, practice and self-trust.
And I believe the right conversation at the right time can shift everything.

My approach is warm, structured and deeply human. I do not tell people what to do. I help them discover what is true and meaningful for them.

A creative lens

Outside my coaching and training work, I am also a visual artist working primarily in printmaking and mixed media. Creativity has always been part of my identity, and it shapes how I design learning experiences with curiosity, experimentation and grounded exploration.

Today

I support
• individuals seeking clarity, confidence and direction
• leaders and professionals wanting stronger human skills
• coaches developing capability, identity and sustainable practice

My goal is simple: To help people show up in the world with more clarity, confidence and connection, and to make everyday communication feel easier and more human.

“I empower people through knowledge, storytelling and insight, helping them recognise their strengths and rise with confidence. My work is about creating cultures where people shine, connect and truly belong.”
