Meet Nicky
Nicky Rasmin is a Gold Coast-based creative professional whose career spans design, project management, coaching, and fine art. She holds a Bachelor of Design from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where her passion for creativity was first sparked through textile screen printing. This early interest evolved into a deep exploration of printmaking and mixed media, leading to over 15 years of artistic development at the Willoughby Arts Centre.
Professionally, Nicky began her career in design before transitioning into project management across the creative industries in Europe. Upon returning to Australia, she worked in the Ceremonies team for the Sydney Olympic Games and then built a successful career in consulting, training, and facilitation. She has worked across vocational education, higher education, and corporate programs and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), currently serving as President of the ICF Queensland branch.
As a trainer and mentor, Nicky is known for fostering creative and critical thinking, encouraging curiosity, and creating spaces for reflection and listening. Her approach is empathetic and adaptable, helping individuals and teams solve problems and connect meaningfully. She brings a unique blend of creativity, insight, and a sense of play to every engagement to inspire growth and meaningful connection.
As an artist, Nicky specialises in "works on paper," using intaglio and relief printing techniques, cyanotypes, and mixed media to capture the textures and movement of the Australian landscape and seascape. Her work is deeply inspired by her love of the ocean, scuba diving, and nature’s dynamic beauty. She has exhibited in numerous shows, including Art in the Woolshed, Inkmasters Cairns, and, most recently, her solo show, Tide of Change at Mud Gallery, Burleigh.
Nicky’s work, both artistic and professional, is driven by a belief in the power of creativity and connection to spark meaningful change.
